Application Details

You open Application Details by clicking the Application Name from the list.

This screen shows:

  • Application name (header)

  • Application description

  • Locked By information

  • A table of “Navigation Options” (Objects currently included in the app’s navigation)

Application-level actions (top action bar)

You may see actions like:

  1. Edit Details

  • Only enabled when:

    • The Application is locked by you, and

    • You are not on a release

  1. Launch App

  • Opens the preview link in a new tab

  1. Take Lock

  • Enabled only if the app is not locked and you are not on a release

  1. Generate App Extension Schema

  • Used for custom app extension schema flows.

  • Enabled only when:

    • “Custom app extension schema needed” is true, and

    • The Application is locked by you

“Navigation Options” is effectively the list of Objects that are associated with the Application.

You can treat it as:

  • “Which Objects should this Application include as navigable items / usable entry points?”

What you see

A table listing objects with columns such as:

  • Name

  • Permission

  • Asset

  • Locked By

Add Navigation Options (Create Navigation Options)

  1. Click Create Navigation Options

  2. A panel opens listing Objects not already part of the Application

  3. Select one or more Objects

  4. Confirm to save

Result:

  • The Application is updated so the selected objects become part of the Application.

Important constraints:

  • You must have the lock to do this.

  • Releases disable this action.

Remove Navigation Options (Remove Navigation Options)

  1. Select one or more items in the Navigation Options list

  2. Click Remove Navigation Options

  3. Confirm in the dialog:

    • “Are you sure you want to remove navigation from application?”

Result:

  • The selected Objects are removed from the Application’s navigation list.
